About us

We care about
our coffee beans

Caffè Mokary is a craft coffee roasting family-run company. We are in Concordia Sagittaria (in the province of Venice). Here, the aroma of freshly-roasted coffee is in the air every day and has been for the past 40 years. We’ve been doing this job for a lifetime – it truly is our calling. We don’t follow fads or trends – we take great pride in our trade, which we consider to be an art. We use a traditional 1962 drum roaster that we take great care of and that we use to roast our green coffee beans. The roaster does the job, but the expertise is down to Claudio, who carefully monitors the process, minute by minute, to ensure the right level of roasting. We purchase green coffee beans from India, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Brazil, Ethiopia and Colombia. We only select quality micro batches, which are defect-free and come from regions at high altitudes. Our Arabica beans are Speciality coffees, which are certified at the source. We believe that the ability of the roasting specialist lies in his ability to combine coffees of different regions and of different kinds, obtaining secret, unique blends which are balanced and have distinctive features. This is why in all our blends we use coffee from different regions containing varying percentages of Arabica and Robusta.

Our is
a family
affair

Our business is family-run. Its history begins far away. In Canada, to be exact, where Claudio Bresolin moved in the 1960s. In North America, Bresolin experimented with different coffee extraction techniques and state-of-the-art processing. Espresso coffee blends, however, have always been his true passion, and in order to cultivate this passion, he decided to return to Italy. In 1982, he founded Mokary in Concordia Sagittaria, in the province of Venice. Today, his sons Christian and Riccardo, work by his side. He taught them everything he learnt and all the experience he garnered over 50 years. To this day, Claudio still roasts the coffee himself. And he still visits his clients regularly.
